What We Do It With

.

Since we opened our doors for business over a decade ago, Beyond The Box Productions has been at the forefront of Nashville’s video scene.

The first in town to own the incredible Sony BVW-D600, we even added a second 600 before other crews had their first. And in 2002, we took another pioneering step into the future…adding High Definition capabilities to our production arsenal.

Our inventory of equipment allows us to select the equipment most appropriate to your needs…we won’t force you into a format because “it’s all we have available.”

Each of our equipment packages comes with everything you’d expect from a network magazine show crew. This includes a broadcast camera, tripod, high resolution monitor, plus complete lighting and audio packages.

But a Beyond The Box package goes…well…beyond. Our packages include many of the extra production tools that will help make your shoot go smoothly… tools that other crews don’t offer as part of their package. Tools like a wide angle lens, six foot jib, matte box with a complete set of filters, an extensive supply of specialty lighting and grip equipment, back-up field recorders, field time-coded VHS tapes, safety dubs and a variety of SD & HD field monitors.

And for capturing unique points of view…we’ve also added some specialty-purpose cameras: our Sony HVR-Z1U HDV camera, PD-150 mini-DVCAM camcorder and Sony XC-999 lipstick camera each can provide an added punch to your shoot at a low cost. With these cameras, we can get shots that are impossible to get with a full-sized camera.

we use Sony equipment

Since we're based in Music City, we've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of musicians, including BB King, Slash, Bono, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, Amy Grant, Keb' Mo'.and not to drop names or anything, but George Jones once held a recording studio door open for us so we could get our gear inside.
